magnaflow doesnt make a 40, but flowmaster does, and it is a little raspier. The flowmaster super44 is very deep and very toned, thats what i am running.

The Magnaflow "magnapack" mufflers will give you that deep bass sound at idle and low RPM, as well as dynomax bullets. The flowmaster will be deep at idle but will also scream at the higher RPMs a little more, where the magnaflow cuts out a little in the upper RPMs.

Im basing this off of two trucks. a buddy has a 5.4L F150 with a 14" maggie, and i have a 14" flowmaster on my 5.4L.

only one i would consider is the 4" round casing magnaflow, its 14" long and looks round. it is called "magnapack" muffler. the rest of them just aren't loud enough.

you can always get one of the race series mufflers. magnaflow makes a 12" one that is pretty loud

After doing my research I chose the magnaflow because the power increase is a little greater than the flowmaster. The flowmaster mufflers are louder because the exhaust has to travel through different chambers. My magnaflow muffler has a flow through design ( which = more power ). The magnaflow mufflers aren't as loud as flows but they perform a little better. I have my exhaust dumped right after the muffler and it sounds incredible. Remember the smaller the muffler the louder it tends to be. Hope this helps.

because they are pretty much the best muffler around. they sound amazing and actually improve performance. flowmasters do pretty much the opposite. as for the roush, ive heard some good things, but not like what ive heard about magnaflow. why do you call mike t and ask him what muffler is best. guarantee he will say magnaflow

Just a muffler with it dumped right after. My stocker is going to hell and need to replace it, don't wanna sacrifice much mileage though.
