call around to local scrap yards and recycling centers to see who will give u the best price

life of the cats also somewhat depends on how the vehcile is driven
example
My mother has a 2001 Impala with about 40K miles on it and not driven much
Drove fine and then outta nowhere it went to crap
engine ran hot-would barely run-couldnt move more than 10mph if that-overall sounded terrible-like it was getting no fuel
Nobody expected it to be cat, so one fuel pump-fuel filter-plugs/wires and injectors cleaned (and like $300-$400 later) it was towed to dealer just to find it was the converter plugged-and it was still under factory warranty and replaced free of charge

when someone says there car has no power thats the frist thing i go for i hit the cats with a rubber malet to see if i can here stuff jumping up.
