hey. i now have my muffler and tips and am ready to have it put on. went around to some shops and they are at 3-400 price range. they would need to put new head pipe on, and bend tailpipes and weld everything. does 3-4 sound a bit high or what?
thanks

That's way too much. I paid $240 for a SIDO Magnaflow and mandrel bent pipe installed. 2 polished SS tips for $60. $300 total.

I brought my Magnaflow SI/SO muffler and a Magnaflow stainless steel tip to a local muffler shop and they put it on (welded) and added a few hangers for $50 bucks.

i bought my flowmaster muffler and tips online them took it to a shop where they charged me 160 to weld all the pipes in, including a 3" headpipe from the Y-pipe.

try going to non-mainstream shops (ie. not midas or mienke) the mainstream shops charge a lot more.

I bought a catback system with a SIDO Flowmaster 40 series muffler and 3" Silverline tips. My mechanic charged me $150 for the system install.
