engine backpressure

i have a 2000 5.4L f150 and i was planning on replacing my stock headers but i was told that my truck having straight dual exhaust with no mufflers and all stock cats that buying headers with better exhaust flow would cause a problem with engine backpressure and hurt the engine over time. can anyone clarrify this?

I dont think so, If you upgrade your cats to two hi-flow Magnaflows and get LT headers your engine would be unstopable

yeah... some people dont know what they are talking about when it comes to exhaust or backpressure. You are not going to hurt the engine one bit.
