chrome tip question

my buddy got some chrome tips to avoid the high cost of stainless tips, but wants to have the long life & rust prevention like stainless, so is there any ways to keep them looking nice for a long time? Waxing and polishing every now & then I thought would be one alternative, is there some type of coating that can be applied to chrome tip to keep them lasting long? Thanks for any input

ahh bummer, but its true stainless is the best way to go. Buying new chrome tips over & over through the seasons will eventually pass the cost of what stainless ones will run for. Thanks for the input guys

Where'd you get your SS tips?....I just started thinking I'd like some for my 07 Lariat SCREW 4x4. I'm hoping I can find some that cover somewhat more of the exhaust pipe than some I've seen.

Go Stainless

I got my stainless tips off eBay. I got 2 of them for a little less than what 2 chromed ones would have cost me locally. It's been a couple years, and they still look good.

i got mine at a local muffler shop. there are several places in Tulsa that do great exhaust work though. you should be able to find some no problem
