Headers

I'm a new member here, just purchased a 07 Lariat and am looking to beef up the sound and hp a bit. I was looking into longtube headers, is dynatech really worth all that money? what can i look to expect?

you can expect really good horsepower & torque gains. I keep forgetting how much Built54s LTs gave him, but i'm sure he will stop in here and say

i would get the pacesetter long tube headers. basically the same as the dynatechs yet 300 bucks cheaper.

shorties dont do a good job reducing back pressure, thus rendering them almost useless. msall150 do you have pacesetters? or if anybody else does how are they? I'm curious as to the difference between the 2 brands quality and performancewise i suppose.(dynatech and pacesetter)

shorties didnt change my sound at all... dynatech is stainless steel, pacesetter is not, you know the long term effects on that.

The ebay OBX version is a nice set of knock off dynatechs. they don't have cats though, they come with resonators......but there have been a few people do write ups on them and the quality is really good for the $450 price tag, and they are stainless. Maybe a cheap compromise for you.....piece together your own magnaflow high flow cats and you'll save a bundle.

pacesetter uses carbon steel, which is actually more durable than stainless steel...however, stainless does have a little better corrosion resistance.

$380 vs $800-$1000...tough decision.
