Banks Monster for F150

Anyone have this exhaust or have any experience with it? They seem to be one of the few manufacturers that has anything to fit my '07 King Ranch w/ 6.5 ft bed.

I have the Banks Monster single exhaust on my '06 SCrew FX4...sounds terrific. It fit perfect and installed in about an hour in my driveway without jacking it up.
I also run the Banks CAI.
Programmer is next for me.

I also have the Banks Monster exhaust. It sounds great and was very easy to install.

Are the power gains noticeable at all? I am considering their ram-air as well. How is the sound at idle/cruise? Is there any droning in the caabin at highway speeds?

There seems to be a bit more power, but until I do the programmer it's not that different.
The sound is great under power, but cruising it is not loud in the cab. Once you're at speed and the torque converter locks up it's barely noticeable in the cab. Around 2000-2100 rpm there is a bit of a drone, but I think all aftermarket exhausts I have used have had that. My truck has 3.73 gears so that is around 70-75 mph.
Their CAI is nicely designed and installs easily, I don't hear any objectionable noise from it at all. I prefer their design over the open filter with the baffle wall around it. All the intake air comes from either behind the grille or inside the left fenderwell. The Banks filter is an 8 ply, which will filter better than a K&N or some of the others which are only 2 or 4 ply -but it still outflows them.
I think it is a case of "you get what you pay for" with Banks. They do a lot of engineering and testing with everything they do. I'm just glad they got around to the gas trucks...

Bank's

I have all the Bank's goodies on my truck and I am very pleased with all of their parts. I have the exhaust, ram air intake and the torque tubes. IMO getting all the parts engineered to work together is the best option. The finishing touch to all of these mods was the addition of a programmer. All of the mods made some difference, but re-programming really woke it up!

Have fun!!!

I was wondering if you guys knew if the Banks CAI and exhaust would cause a drone with the Edge. I had the Volant and the drone with it was unbearable, so I sold it and I am looking for something else. I think that you get what you pay for too, and I have heard nothing but good things about Banks, but I also dont want to have that horrible drone back in the cab.

the edge will drone with any aftermarket CAI. it did with my K&N as well. now that i have custom tunes it doesnt drone at all, just nice growl that sounds excellent. remember, the Edge is for a stock truck, not a modified one.

I as well have the Banks monster exhaust, and like everyone else, I love it. I notice a drone at about 60 mph, but its not that bad. The best thing about it is the sound. I had a guy stop me the other day and ask if I had another pipe coming out somewhere hidden because "There's no way a single tip can sound like that". Needless to say, I proved him wrong.

Do you know what tuner would work best with the Banks systems? I really like the fit and finish of both the CAI and the Exhaust. I hate to loose the edge's monitoring capabilities, but it is hard to justify keeping something that expensive around just for gauges.
