Catalytic Converter

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a catalytic Converter that is stopped up. Does anybody know how many catalytic converter's a 2002 f150 has on it. It has the 4.6 v-8. Can this truck run good with only one if it has more than one. I am thinking of putting new exhauts on the truck as well. What is a good system to use that sounds good and will last a long time. I'm not looking for a deep sound but a high pitch sound like a Mustang GT has from Factory. I want more horse power but don't want to loose my gas mileage.

4 cats stock, take them all out and put in two magnaflow highflows, then get a magnaflow muffler if you don't want something loud.

dont get stock ones, you can get two better flowing magnaflow cats for damn near the price for 1 factory cat.

yeah it most definitely will, the exhaust will flow much better giving you more low end torque, and more open so it will sound much better.

need magnaflow muffler

OK, I have bought the magnaflow cats. But now i need to find the best place to get my magnaflow muffler. I want the single inlet and the dual outlet. I want one that sounds really good. Not so much the deep low tone but I want it to scream when I get on the gas. So can anybody help me out.

Well if your replacing the cats...you might as well get a good set of headers, an X pipe and run true duals out the back! Let us know how the cats sound, and what muffler you end up with

it sounds great!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks guys. My truck sounds great, and I have alot more power. I truck will light up the tires now. It is alittle loud when running about 70 or 80 but I like it. People are turning their heads now to see what is coming and going by. The two Magnaflow cat's and the magnaflow xl muffler works great. I will never ever run a flow master again. :santa:
