Magnaflow, but which one????
Magnaflow, but which one????
I have heard alot of talk on here about magnaflow being to quiet, but on the other hand they do have one of the highest hp and tq ratings for a muffler over stock numbers. Now, in the next 6 months I will be getting some longtube headers, 2 hi flow cats, and magnaflow mufflers installed on my 2001 Screw.
The question remains, what muffler will give the most aggressive sound at idle, as well as take off and all the way through the RPM's? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
BTW, I am staying with the 2.5" tubing and adding an H pipe as well, with 4"x18" tips

id go with their 14" "magnapac" mufflers, they are the 4" diameter round ones. you could also go with dynomax bullets, which are basically the same exact thing but only 12" long. remember, the smaller the muffler, the more sound.

Yeah that's what I have, they come with the catback kits. Mine is nice and quiet during cruising, no drone at any RPM range at all. The idle is pretty nice, noticable when you walk by it, and sounds very aggressive at about 3,500+ RPM's.
With high flow cats and long tube headers it'll be a lot more aggressive at idle etc.
Here's a clip with just the Magnaflow's on, hope it helps a little even though I have a NBS and a bit different engine.
