flex pipe?
flex pipe?
im going to be doing my own custom exhuast set up and i was wonder how bad flex pipe is. alot of people say if i used flex pipe id have to chage it about once a year. if thats true ill just go get a custom bend but im looking for a fast way to do it. just wondering ur guys thoughts on flex pipe Thanks in Adv~Dave PS i live in michigan so in the winter there is alot of salt that gets kicked up on everything under the truck.
i dont really hear of people using it much.. maybe that is because nobody has tried it or that they have tried it and wished they didnt spend their money on it.. Personnally i would just spend a few more dollars and get the piping bent at an exhaust shop because that i know lasts a good amount of winters..lol i'm from MN so i know where you are coming from on the road salt!!
ya i still need to get my down pipe made. no one answered me about that. i made an outline of the bends with a brake line. but someone said to take it up to the shop and have them bend it there but they will see im going to remove the cats and at the shops by law they have to put them on dont they? also is there any like S pipes? bc the mufflers i have have a off set inlet pipe and if my down pipe comes down the pipe will be in the middle of the muffler it needs to go over like 2 inchs to the right any ideas? thats were i was asking about the flex pipe to do that lil bend.
at the shop i took my exhaust to be done they made an "S" curved pipe to help with an offset muffler to... i dont really know about the down pipes.. just pay them cash i dont think they will say anything about the cats then
