aftermarket heads/intake manifold
aftermarket heads/intake manifold
who makes 4.6 2v aftermarket heads, other than 01 up pi heads i can't find any upgrades, same for intake, short of a gt manifold i can't locate anything either. a gt intake will kill low end torque, i think i'm going to find a 78-79 f250 to make my daily driver just so i can change anything and everything i want. maybe a 77 or older so i can install a transmission with overdrive. or i could just leave my 00 f150 the way it is and tow my recently acquired 86 regal to the track after i finish with the 307 to 383 or 455 swap.
Patriot Performance, www.patriot-performance.com has heads and a company called Sullivan makes intakes or adapters for mustang intakes. Look into www.teamjdm.com for stuff too. Other places I look into to point me in the right direction that are local to me anyways would be www.livernoismotorsports.com, www.seanhylandmotorsport.com and www.paulshp.com , they can supply anything you need.
I would stay away from patriot heads. remember you pay for what you get. i know a lot of guys with mustangs that regret getting their heads. pauls high performance = pauls high prices, you'd pay through the nose for his products. sean hyland motorsport (i know a lot of mustang owners that got screwed by them) STAY AWAY.
I'd check VT Engines, Proline Racing Engines (a little pricer than VT, but excellent work on 2v heads, also Modular Powerhouse (i think they changed their name).

i am checking all of these guys out, thanks. what has sean hyland done to make people mad? i have heard of many upset mustang owners that are down on SHM i thought they had a good reputation. it looks like everything including heads for a modular motor is extremly over priced.
