what one to choose

i have a 2004 4.6 scab thats got the 50 series flowmaster onit now im gonna put an intake on. i dont want to have an oiled one.

im looking at AEM brute force dry flow
and AF1 by troyer

i want it to be loud and give the truck some kick

any others?

Well, the AF1 uses an oiled element, so that narrows your choices a bit..

S&B makes a pretty well respected intake, looks very nice too.. Volant is another...

But ya really should get rid of the Flowmaster exhuast in favor of a straight-through exhaust. You're losing some torque there. Though the flowmaster is a loud one..

do you plan on getting custom tuning? if not, i would look at Airraid and AF1 3". those are the two intake systems that will give you good power gains, and at the same time wont make your engine run lean (dangerous).

i have heard the Airraid kit is pretty loud too, so it should be right up your alley

Outlaw makes a dry filter also. I have the S&B so that the only on I can speak for and it works great.
