does anybody know of a company that makes longtube headers fora 4.6l in a 97 f150 reg cab 4wd? thanks for any help

 

Do a search there are a few. i think pacesetter are the cheapest

 

Does Pacesetter offer longtube headers for a 2003 F150 with a 4.6. I hear conflicting data when I ask around. One website says the 72C2226 will fit the 4.6 and the next person will tell me no. I'm not sure and I don't want to purchase unless they work for sure.

im pretty sure pacesetter makes longtubes ive looked it up for a few people on Ebay and not to bad of prices. not sure on the years thoe. but i like pacesetters stuff.

 

get some 5.4 long tubes and bend them to fit thats what i did.

 

Bend only?? I thought that one tube had to be cut and turned or?? I got that from flatsman, and he was using 5.4 Dynatechs on his 98 4.6.

If you can't find long tubes, stick with your stockers. The shorties are not worth the time or money for the little gain you will see.

 

trimmed the top of the motor mount about 1/8th of an inch off on either side. bent 2 tubes about 3/4 of an inch in on the drivers side and 3 tubes about an inch over on the passenger side to clear the starer.

 

all i know is that i called around and pacesetter told me that for my 4.6, they make a long tube that will fit mine. #72c2229 for 393 and some change.
