JBA shorty problems

anyone have problems with JBA's on their 3v 5.4's? Mine have a leak on both sides somewhere above the collector, so i was gunna call JBA and try and get some gaskets and see if that fixes it, any solutions?

Maybe I don't understand where on the header your talking about, but above to collector is the tubes and I don't see how a gasket will fix that. Are you talking about a leak along the flange? JBA headers have a lifetime warranty.

yeah it must be along the flange, and the lifetime warranty is out the window for me...i'm not the original owner and my truck had em when i bought it so JBA told me that it was non transferable

That sucks! When I did mine, the first set of flange gaskets that came with the headers were Mr. Gasket metal impregnated gaskets...top of the line stuff. I had a coating failure on the headers and the replacements came with Percy's XX Carbon Gaskets You might want to try just tightening the bolts on the flange. Or are you sure there is a crack?

I don't know for sure if i have a crack in the header, i was gunna replace the gaskets and inspect for cracks when i was in there, every other truck i've ever had with headers has had leaks, and their always different so i figured that i could gather some info from fellow enthusiasts
