not really too much of a sound difference but if anything it would be a little clearer & possibly quieter. But the main purpose of the longer tip length is to hide the regular exhaust piping so it cant be seen that easilly.

yeah probably, it will still sound loud with the exhaust, but the point of larger diameter tips is to be heard farther away, I would say a long tip like a 22" tip wont be as loud as say a 12" long tip. Magnaflow makes the best looking exhaust tips I have seen too by the way.

yea i just ordered a super 44 and now im gonna get tips then take it to my shop and have it all put on. flowmaster only has like 3"tips for 2.5" tubing. so i found that summit racing has their own tips and about half the price and they have bigger diameters.
thanks for your help man

i have the super44 with dual flowmaster 13" tips. they are 3" wide tips. since my tips are straight out the back, it reduces the sound a bit inside the cab. but it roars outside. plus they look great. its perfect, i love it. you will too

I have 24" long 4" dia. Vibrant exhaust tips and they are great, really toned the exhaust. Almost act like a resonator.

Bigger tips act like a megaphone. It will be a little louder with bigger tips. Spend the money to get some decent tips, otherwise they rust fairly quick. I got mine from Magnaflow. 4x18 polished 304 SS. $30 or so per tip
