magnaflow help

hey, i have a 2000 f150, with a flowmaster muffler (dunno what kind it came with it) and duels coming out back. it just isnt loud enough for me. i am looking into getting a magnaflow muffler a single in and like 3inch duel outlets. what length would i want for more noise? can anybody help me out maybe possibly send me a link to a muffler of what im looking for?

thank you

Magnaflow

I have a 14" magnaflow that improved my low end performance. It sounds great, however it is by no means loud. Keep in mind the amount of emmsions equipment that truck has. You would likely need true duels with high flow cats. Good luck

if you're looking for sound and switch from a flowmaster to a magnaflow, you're going backwards. maggies are quiet. look at dynomax bullet mufflers, or just cut your muffler out.

adding tips wont do a whole lot for you. It will look nice.

A week ago, I went from stock muffler to a 14" Magnaflow- single in, dual out with 2.5" pipes. I have 2' (short) pipes- because they both exit in front of the rear wheel like the Lightning. This set up is quite a bit louder than stock. Not obnoxious, but the tone sounds great. My buddy had the same 14" Maggie installed yesterday, he had pipes run out the back. His is significantly quieter. I believe its due to the extra bends and additional 6' of pipe.
