Outlaw intake ?

Okay, I have an 04 FX-4, 5.4, 3:73's 18" wheels and tires, looking for better milage and a little more get up and go, I'm leaning towards the Outlaw Intake from everything I've heard about it, I have an XCal-2 Programmer, the truck is factory stock right now, what recommendations do you have for me to make better milage and get a little more get up and go ?

Most people here will probably say Volant or Airforce One. I've been happy with my K&N 77 series.

I just intalled my outlaw intake.. like 20 min ago.. haha.. I like it alot.. I felt the power difference.(not huge difference, but you can tell) While just cruzin it sounds almost stock. At the higher rpms though it is really nice and loud. Overall it's a fair price and I like the way it runs.

Hey Big Beez, keep me posted on how you like it and if it has changed your milage or power at all, I'm thinking of ordering one ! Do you need a special tune to use it and/or do you have to run Premium gas ?

If you look here: http://www.outlawpower.com/productdetail.php?sc=1486
The dyno of Stock vs Outlaw Power vs Volant is here: http://www.outlawpower.com/productdo..._Comp_Dyno.jpg The Outlaw Power make more power and torque than the stock and Volant.

I HAVE seen a dyno from the following companies: AEM, Outlaw Power, K&N
I HAVE NEVER seen a dyno from the following companies: S&B, AF1

Personally, I would get the Outlaw Power if you want an enclosed filter system. Or I would get the AEM if you want an exposed filter system. One reason is that they are both dyno proven and the other is that they both come with NeverOil/DryFlow filters.

Will ya stop with this crap already? It's getting old...

You don't want to see dyno results from a Company - you want to see results from an independent....

So all you had to do is to Search ---> https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?num=14226

That link came from this thread, which you should read too: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...highlight=dyno

The ONLY one I know who has actually tested them all under controlled conditions is TP - and I already told ya to call if you needed data.

Jeez - some people's kids

Thanks for the link.

Is the 3.25" AF1 dyno in that link what they sell as their "3 inch intake"...as opposed to their 3.5" intake that requires a tune?

As far as trusting dyno plots, I don't trust any unless they are supervised by a degreed engineer. Saying that, we all know that even degreed engineers and us non-degreed engineers can be dishonest and "lie".

I e-mailed them a few times but they always took a few days to get back to you. Then I was on a waiting list to get there intake when the new oilless filters came in. I was suppose to get an e-mail from them and never did. So I called them and they told me I was going to get the next batch of intakes that came out. Love the S&B. If you want it that bad call them or just wait for an e-mail they will get to you in a few days.

I ordered mine from discount power parts.. or something like that. There is a difference in power. I couldn't give you an exact hp gain though.(I'll dyno when I have exhaust and everything done ) I have a chip, so I use premium gas.. It's not required by outlaw intake though, and you dont have to tune anything to run it. I just filled up today, so we shall see how long it lasts.. I'll post up the mileage when I'm on empty. It's definetly worth it though. Does the job for less than most of the well known intakes. I like it

there is a section on the website that has links, that allow you to order it online, without calling. That's what I did
