Exhaust Question

I currently run the cherry bomb extreme and love the sound!! nice deep rumble.. but i now was starting to think i want performance instead now. can i expect noticeable gains in HP or TQ if i were to switch to a maggie or something like that?? i would prefer the SI/DO setup..

Thanks-Alex

magnaflow is the way to go. do a dido magnaflow, or 2 magnaflows with an x pipe.

i was just going to swap the muffler and keep all my piping that i have now to keep costs down.. could i still expect noticeable gains from just a muffler swap?

if you want to keep the loud sound but net better performance gains, go with dynomax bullets. maggies arent very loud in my opinion.

most magnaflows aren't loud. You would be fine swapping the muffler only. Mine is very very loud, one of the loudest setups i've had, and im on #20. I have a lot of sound deadener in my cab, so its pretty quiet inside.

the loudest would be long tubes, high flow cats, x pipe, 30 series flowmasters dumped. IT was a great sound, but the power loss was very bad. My favorite is what I have now, long tubes, high flows, true duals with a DIDO magnaflow dumped, 12" body muffler. 2.5" pipe. I'm trying to find a good deal on an X pipe to put back on it though, I just didnt have one at the time of putting on #20 lol

Your not going to gain (or lose) much performance just by swapping mufflers...
