Guys,
I've been reading about sound and the 18 vs 24" mufflers. I really don't want loud at all! Can someone give me some comparisons of the 18 and 24 if you have owned both? I don't trust the sound clips. I don't want a lot of noise. Right now, my stock one can't be heard at all crusing down the highway. I would like to keep it quiet and still get the HP gains. Is the 24" muffler a straight through design. Looks like the inlet and outlet are offset just a little. Does it have a slight bend to it inside the muffler?
I'm looking at the SI/SO 3" design....

 

Get the 18'' its still very quiet and you will not hear it at crusin speed. For what you want its perfect. I got mine because I have 2 small kids in my truck a lot. The 24'' is straight through also.

 

Thanks for the reply, you had me talked into the 18" but when I go back to look, it's only available for the 04 and up, only thing they have for my 02 is the 24. Guess that's what I'll be getting. Not sure I want to try to find and exhaust shop to fit one up for me. Just easier to order it and put it on myself. Plus hottexhaust has the sale going on, around $380 delivered.

to me every magnaflow is on the quiet side, especially those larger ones. you will be fine.

and dont expect huge HP gains just from a new exhaust system or you'll be dissapointed.
