Tech Tips Intake Mod...

I just read thru the Technical Articles link at the top of the page. The Intake mod one , where you use your stock intake, just remove the part that goes it the fender well. Anyone out there done the mod? Did you Disconnect the Battery afterwards? And was there any difference in Fuel Milage or Performance? I'm thinking it may be a simple way to get alittle more of both...

I gotta say...I drove it today, for about 130 miles..and it ran better....It really ran good up to 2,000 RPM. And had a nice little Hit at about 3,500 RPM... And it has a much deeper growl when I get into it...For a free mod..I'd say it's worth doing if it's nice and dry out...I would not keep it this way come winter.
