Headers

I know I've asked before which longtubes for my 2000 5.4 I was looking at the Dynotech but $850 for just headers or $1344 for the Headers and piping and 2 cats seems a bit outragous.. I'm all for quality and I know I'd get it with that but I was also looking at OBX and just not useing the Ypipe because I will be running true duals or Pacesetter which I am not a fan of. Anyone had experience with either of these? Just seems it would be nice saving $350-$500

Pace*****ter is junk and OBX has proven decent quality on other vehicles. You will have problems with pacesetter sealing and cracking on you. OBX headers are actually decently made.

you'll have to let us know how you like them once they are installed. I was thinking about picking up a set in the not so distant future myself

i have JBA Headers and a true dual system on my 2000 expedition and i have no complaints with the JBA Headers. They are more then those OBX ones but i can't complain and i have only heard good things about them from other people.

You get what you pay for with headers. Listen to built54 , he has had the shorties and longtubes on the dyno and knows the difference first hand..

I think that's about 30HP..

i just got done installing some obx long tubes on my truck. got them off ebay. they were a pian to put in. ide rather put another body lift in then put another set of these on. But they look bad a$$ on there. as of right now its running straight out of the y pipe so i havent really driven it yet it goes into the exhaust shop on monday to weld up the rest and to check for leaks. as of right now it sounds like a monster truck though. its awsome but my magnaflow should quiet it down. ill post up some pics and stuff on monday when its all done

Hey Bowlergt,

I am getting a set of Dynatechs installed next Thursday by Mike Troyer and his crew at Troyer Performance. Also getting a Airforce One 3.5 intake and a new tune at the same time. Going to be a long but fun day at Mike's shop. I will let you know the results when I have a chance.
