Biggest gains are not achieved with an intake. You need an intake that has more volume, but doesn't make a CEL. Then, when you buy a tuner, and you will, the intake will play a part in bringing in more air to mix in with the added gas the tuner is applying.

I have been enjoying my Fram Boost2 for almost a year now.

Doesn't seem to be a brand that gets alot of mention on the forums but has been a very nice purchase for me.

With the S&B pay close attention to the MAF sensor mount. My kit had a bad intake tube, S&B replaced it and the sensor gasket/seal doesn't seat. This is the 5.4 kit. Other then this "little" issue, S&B looks like good stuff.

I'd go with either an AFI or S&B. I once owned a K&N for my old 97 4.2 and it literally did jack except sound cool, which is pretty sweet too I guess.
