can i use an oil free filter on my AF1?

I was wondering the same thing.. Just took my AF1 off for a trip to the dealer and decided to go ahead and clean/oil the filter as long as it was off.

Can you just put on whatever K&N or S&B dry filter that will fit? How would it affect airflow?

Tho I have to say that my filter is once again the nice deep blue color it was originally..

 

well im glad you got yours back to blue. the parents wouldnt let me use their card to order the af1 oil, so i had to use the red k&n stuff

 

Hmm.. Troyer sells both colors on the website, cleaning spray and oil together, $15 for either color.. after using it I'd guess about 3-4 cleaning/oilings from the kit..
