How would this sound and look

Hey guys I have a 06 F150 Screw chrome edition. I am thinking about going with an 18 inch Magnaflow muffler SI/DO with the tips ran right behind the chrome step bars. Do you guys think that would look FUGLY or not. I have not seen it before on a screw. My next concern is sound. Also though about a Borla Pro XS muffler instead of a Magnaflow. Help guys i need opinions.

If your talking about the Magnaflow 16616 system (SI/DO 2 tips before the rear wheel) then that is what I should be receiving on Friday.

Although I have a Scab, so I have a lot more room to work with between the factory step-boards and the rear wheel. In my area, it pretty rare to see that setup, which is why I went with it.

Gives the truck a real nice aggressive look, and something unique other than the standard dual pipes out the back.

No it will be a custom job. I will buy the muffler and get a shop to run the tubing. I think I can do that cheaper than a system. I have read on this board that you loose torque with the cat back systems.

I think if you do some searching your going to find some threads about the great debate of loosing power.

The only problem with having a place bend pipe for you is that it will most likely not be stainless steel. The Magnaflow (I got it for around $360 shipped) is stainless, and the muffler is a straight through design, so your less likely to loose power than you would with a flowmaster (baffle design).

If you want the system to last the life of your truck, I'd suggest splurging some money on a stainless steel system.
