Installing New Headers

I have a '99 F150 XLT 4X4 4.6, stock header has crack and I am going to upgrade to new tubular headers. I was wondering about any suggestions anyone had about how to make this as smooth as possible with the least pain. Have heard that they can be a real pain. Also if anyone suggests a certain manufacturer for the headers.

I have dynatech long tubes, but im pretty sure they dont make them for the 4.6 Mine were easy to install, only took 4 hours to get my shorties off and put the l/t's on. Gained 30hp and 35ftlbs. dont settle for shorties
