Remove flowmaster and replace with...??

I have a 2000 f150 4.6L V8 and want to know exactly what I need to do to make my truck sound like a Mustang GT. I want my exhaust to be the "look at me" loud. You know what I'm talking about. Like the Hemi guys that pull in the gas station and constantly rev it up in neutral.

I currently have a flowmater 40 muffler that dumps at the end of the muffler. The truck is so quiet and sitting beside the truck you can't even tell there is an aftermarket muffler on.

Before putting the flowmaster on I drove around with out a muffler. I just cut the muffler off and had it dump under the bed. It was louder but didn't really have a good sound to it, which is why i bought the flowmaster.

I'm thinking that replacing the 4 cats with 2 high flow cats, then running true duals all the way back would be the way to go. This is only a guess.

Do I need an H or X pipe after the cats and before the mufflers? Do I even need mufflers after putting the high flow cats on?

I don't want it to pop either. I want a deep, throaty!!, loud rumble.

Sound clips are always a help.

Thats what you do, and if you want mustang sound you put super 40 flowmasters on it. Stick an X pipe after the cats and go from there.

Would a H pipe work just as well? I was looking under the truck and the piping for an x pipe would make things pretty complicated.

true dual it with maggie high flow cats, and x pipe it nearby where the left manifold pipe is guided over to the right, & Borla, or Magnaflow mufflers.

H-pipes give a deeper tone than x-pipes. They are also known to "pop".
