S&B MAF Issue

Just wanted to pass this along to any of you with the S&B CAI or one's who are considering buying one.

Take a very careful look at the MAF Mounting surface. Mine was badly made, with a boat load of molding flash. The shop I bought mine from, suggested trimming the flashing. Apparently they do this all the time and everything is fine. Well, on mine, the sealing surface is too deep and does not provide an air tight seal on the MAF sensor. The shop is contacting S&B to get a replacement. Hopefully this one will be a good one.

If I did this right, this is the link to the gallery where I put some pics showing this flashing. https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?num=14447

So all of you who have this set up, do yourself a favor and check to see that your MAF is actually sealed against the MAF mounting surface.

Thanks for the info. Mine is fine and doesn't have this problem. Maybe a bad apple in the bunch.
