I have Bassani high flow cats with Flowmaster 40s and it's loud.
I here the new 44s are not as loud as the 40s were!
Start with the high flow cats and if thats not loud enough you can always just take off the muffler and go straight pipe.
When I put my high flows on it made it 3 or 4 times louder. I'll have to pack it with steal wool to get through inspection,,,,lol.

Get a Cherry Bomb Extreme Muffler. Sounds good and one of the louder mufflers I have heard. Or you could do strait pipes.

cherrybomb extreme or flowmaster 10 series practically the same thing. also look at the flowmaster outlaw race muffler or dynomax bullet

Hey man I actually just called some shops today about this. I have an 04 f150 with 4 cats so I asked if I would pass emissions with only 2 they said no way. If you dont care about that I would go top to bottom! First get you some headers long or short, a pair of high flow cats or no cats, have someone custom bend and weld you true 3" dual pipesthe whole way to a pair of Super 44's 3" SI/SO or if you can find some old style Orig. 40 series SI/SO and throw some short turndowns and I promise you she will bark! Oh and you wanna make sure and get some sort of filtercharger. That will help too. I think Pacesetter makes long tube headers.

decent idea except 1) thats a boatload of money just for sound and 2) DO NOT use 3" pipes for true duals, bad bad idea you need backpressure. use 2.25" pipes for true duals, get high flow cats and run them through two si/so super44s and dump them. it will be loud as hell and you will love the power and tone.
