I've been in the market for an exhaust, and I just heard a sound clip from the Supertruck and it sounds amazing to me.

Anyone have any opinions on the system?

Also, I've been looking around on the internet and can only seem to find it for the 5.4 or the older body style 4.6. Is it available for a 4.6 4x4 2005 STX? If so, where would be the best place to purchase it?

Probably a stupid question, but is the 2005 STX Supercab considered a shortbed? 5.5? 6.5?

According to Ford's website, the STX SuperCab is available in three bed configurations, one 5'5" (Flareside) and two 6'5" (Flareside and Styleside).

I would say that both the 5.5 and 6.5 are considered short beds, as a regular cab F150 as a 8' bed option.

Hi!

I just posted a thread about the Gibson ST.
I had it and it lasted me 5 years, now the muffler is done.

Nice exhaust, nice sound, I noticed some extra power too.

If 5 years sounds like a reaosnable time to get from it, then it's a good exhaust system.

My friend had a 4.6 2wd Supercab, and he had it on his.

I have Gibson Super Truck on my 04 ( new style truck) xlt reg cab with 6.5 ft bed. I like sound, I have had on truck for 2 years now and no problems. As far as power gains I beleive there may be a small power gain over stock. Hope this information helps.

I will go against the crowd
If you're looking for power the supertruck may or may not fit the bill. But as for sound I've heard it on an 04 5.4. Highly disappointed with the sound. Sounds raspy and tinny, not very deep. If you want subtle deep go magnaflow. Loud deep, go Flowmaster. Obnoxious loud, start looking at the ones with funny names like cherrybomb. The Gibson supertruck is a better exhaust for Dodges.

Wow, only 5 years?

Had my mufflers on my 1970 Torino for almost 15 years before I ended up selling it.

Guess I'll look at Magnaflow or Flowmaster...

Those Gibson things aren't cheap either!
