Best Tone?

I am about ready to dual out my Screw. In your opinion what is the best sounding muffler? I would like a good tone, but I want it to be as loud as possible w/ a muffler. I had straight pipes on my F250 5.4, and I liked that, but I was maybe looking for something a little smoother. I hear that the magnaflows have a nice tone on the 5.4's. Anyway I could make these as loud as my straight pipes??

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I am thinking 2.25" true duals with no mufflers for my 5.4, my brother just had them put on his '97 4.6 and personally I have yet to hear a better system.

Flowmaster 40 series. Original Recipie. Every time I hear my old truck, I miss it just a little bit more.

Get the smallest Magnaflow available. The smaller the muffler the louder.

Flowmaster does have the 10 series. It's a street legal race muffler.

If you want loud go with the Flowmaster, there is a guy on here running two Magnaflow mufflers and he says that his truck is pretty loud. I have a Magnaflow 14" can and I think my Flowmaster 50 series was louder but the truck runs better with the Magnaflow.

I've heard the Roush Offroad and it sounds deep, loud and mean.... It sounds like a winner to be execpt it may be a tad on the loud side. Does anyone have a video clip of the legal system? Could someone take one maybe and post it?

defintely keep it 2.25" and use a x-pipe to keep your tq up and have it nice and flat across the rpm range-there's reason mustang's have always had the exhuast banks tied to each other-phil

i have a friend who has true duals with no mufflers on his 5.4 screw, and it sounds awesome. But i like rumble not just cackle. So imho you should just get true duals and flowmaster 10's or cherrybomb extreme's si/so's. thats what i might do in a couple months
