End to my exhaust dilema...

After 5 different exhaust set-ups I have finally found the perfect one. I've got an 03 s/c h-d and have had a heck of a time finding the perfect exhaust. I've tried mac, flowmasters, maggies, straight, and glasspacks, all which either sounded like crap or killed my power. My exhaust guy finally just ordered a 4" aeroturbine and made up a "y" to run both 2.5" pipes into a single 4" pipe. After the muffler he installed a 4" tailpipe with a 5" tip.

First let me tell you, I'm not a big believer of all these exhaust claims which say they give you x amount of horsepower and x amount of mpg increases, but I've got to say this muffler lives up to it's claim. My truck feels like it's got alot more power, and after the weekend it looks like my mpg has increased by at least 3 mpg.

Now the sound, it's got a sound that completely blew me away. It's got to be the deepest sounding exhaust I've ever heard, it does have a little drone at approx. 2000 rpm, but it's not bad at all. When you get into the pedal you can not only hear it but you can feel it in your gut. Absolutely awesome.

Here are some pics and clips

Some sound clips, sorry for the quality

Let me know what you guys think.

Nice setup.
If you've run the factory "y" up to this point, then that's where your gains are coming from...the factory piece is...a piece of **** It chokes-down inside. If you still have it, cut it open and check it out. There were some posts with pics a while back but I can't find them.

The s/c h-d trucks don't have a "y" at all. It's got 2 pipes that run into 1-2in/2out muffler. I guess you can say it's got a factory almost dual exhaust. It actually flows great from the factory, I just hated that it was so quiet. I didn't really expect any power gains, I just wanted something that would sound good without a loss, like I had with some of the other setups. The mpg increase was completely unexpected, and it almost seems like it's getting better.

Thanks for the compliments.

Looks and sounds good.

His set-up with a S/C will sound a lot different than a N/A truck with the same exhaust.

My bad...I didn't see that you had an 03 HD the first time I read it.
Great looking setup either way
