Is this going to work?

Hello, Just wondering if my setup I have chosen to go with is going to work, or if there is a better setup to go with. So I plan on taking off my old system right where the cats end, putting a cherry bomb extreme muffler there, into a Y pipe, buying this dual pipe thing...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/f150-...mZ180083965366

with some tips....

Is this going to work? What will I need to connect the muffler to the cats?

Thanks

I have a 2002 Supercrew XLT 5.4. I took a look both my cats go into one as of right now. I want to add the muffler to that "one" then get the Y pipe after that so I can have two pretty pipes sticking out the back. Thats what I want, single in dual out. Definitely dont want any magnaflow, flowmaster maybe but I really want that cherry bomb extreme

ok so you want regular y pipe coming off the manifolds, into a regular muffler than a single y pipe coming out and then splitting into the 2 pipes?? am i getting this right???. a y pipe after the muffler is kind of a waste. cherry bomb doesnt make a muffler with 2 seperate outlets?? are you looking for more power or just the nice cherry bomb sound??

Here, I made a diagram...

Pretty simple, Im looking for the cherry bomb sound mainly, but I dont want to lose a lot of power.

ok then the y pipe after the muffler will rob you of some power. you want to have 2 seperate pipes out of the muffler. your way will work but....

keep the muffler as close to rear axle as possible to keep noise in cab to a minimum-phil
