intake superchargers

ive been looking on ebay and they sell a electric supercharger that goes on the end of your cold air intake. Does it really give you 20Hp?? Also does anyone know if it sounds like a supercharger or turbo because it would be kinda cool to have to mess with people.

I wouldnt waste your money.... the amount of load one takes to run vs the air it moves... probably actually loose power.

LOL, I can see it now. You seal it up, but have a bypass valve, that you have open while you drive. You wire the blower to a push button start configuration.

You drive with it off most of the time until you get to the stoplight. The truck next to you revs their engine. You start the blower, and close the valve, so that only the air from the blower is going to the engine. You rev the blower full blast as you step on the pedal and leave the truck behind.

Hmm, sounds like a project
