5.4 - 3" too large? In front of rear wheel too short?

5.4 - 3" too large? In front of rear wheel too short?

Well, like it says, i'm going to make an exhaust, thinking 3? from the Y back, using a summit turbo muffler and kicking it out in front of the rear wheel.
Any suggestions? Too big of diameter?
I also plan on an intake and a tuner (edge?) so my hp will hopefully brake the 300 mark
2000 with 5.4 SOHC Longbed Std. Cab work package (no options and vinyl seats) and 7700 package (bigger springs and sway bars etc.)

not a problem at all. ive got 3" from the Y goin all the way back. as long as you know how to bend it, there shouldnt be a problem. i think these trucks respond well to a 3" exhaust.

you should be alright with a single pipe running back from the y.
I would not do true duels back with 3in though.

Hey chiefFX4,got any pics of the truck??I work in summerville and i don't think i have seen your truck.
