youd probably get better satisfaction and performance if you went with a custom cat back with flowmasters or magnaflow. an x-pipe is a good idea.

ask around at local exhaust shops, they should be able to get you everything you need and install the custom setup for cheaper then a premade.

truck has a flowmaster 50 series SI/DO on it right now side exits:

I want it to exit on both sides the same way for a more balanced note when inside the truck

the new saleen trucks have a similar exit to what I want but they have 2 seperate mufflers maybe I'll look at a set of them (STUPID FUEL TANK BUT I will work around it somehow)

the way you want it to exit can be done with any muffler, but it wont look pretty when viewed from under the truck. get a flowmaster with a smaller number and, like you said, watch out for the fuel tank.

I saw a Dodge 1500 with that same kind of setup your talking about. I was curious about it myself, because I would like to run true duals like that, but didn't know how much of a pain in the **** it would be to do? Not sure if he was running true duals or just a single muffler that routed out that way.

i built the exhaust I am currently running and the true duals would be easier and cleaner = just have to run it outside the frame near the fuel tank and install some more heat shields (if an X or H pipe is used it would balance the flow)

the 2 sided exit has been brought up before but the fuel tank is the #1 concern that's why everyone goes to the duals out the passenger side or rear exit, the saleen truck got me thinking again and I know it would look awsome on my truck and it sounds incredible right now (I just have to figure out what mufflers to use to keep it passenger friendly inside the truck but stil perform good at the same time) 2 1/2 pipe would be the biggest until it got to the tips just maintain torque
