anyone with the 5.4L

I want to hear some exhaust clips of anyone with the 5.4l. I will be changing my exhaust soon and wanted some advice. Don't know what I really want yet. Something loud outside the truck and not alot of drone inside the cab. Looking at maybe a gibson super truck style if anyone has that. please post em up to hear. Thank you Tony.

hey, i have an 02 lariat supercrew with the Gibson supertruck. It sounds really good. Its pretty quiet in the cab and loud enough to let people know your coming on the outside. It wont blast people out of the water but you'll know that its working. The exhaust sytem was the first thing I had put on but since then it was only completemented by an Air Intake System (Fram Boost O2), a power programmer (Superchips), and a performance module (Jet Performance). If you really want to see a change a noticeable change in power without making your ears bleed. I suggest doing it with the Gibson supertruck exhaust system. Oh, by the way. I had to put on different exhaust tips because I have running boards and the exhaust exits before the rear tire. The included exhaust tips as you probably know are square-tipped. It just didn't fit into between the tire and the running board.

Check out Magnaflow, they compliment the sound of the Triton engines and you have several choices with how loud and how mild you want the sound to be. I am a big fan of Flowmaster and had them on 2 different 5.0 Mustangs but the don't sound as good on the Modular/Triton engines to me.

Try Magnaflow, it will give you a nice humming sound & it's not too loud in the cab at crusing speeds. Good Luck.

x 3

I love mine, they are nice and quiet when cruising but come to life when you get on the gas, it's enough to turn heads but not enough to annoy the hell out of you. Plus there is absolutely zero drone.

Here's a clip of mine: (Sorry for semi-poor sound quality, I'm going to make a new vid with my nice camera soon)

x 4 for Magnaflow

I have an 18" SI/DO with 4x18" tips at 45 degrees behind each tire and it sounds sweet!

x2 for the flowmasters. i have the super44 SIDO. my friend has maggies on his f150, and mine are way louder and the tone is much better too. but i also like it really loud, if you dont want any sound at all inside then dont get the 40 series or super40 or super44 (get these if you really want to hear your engine), instead go for like a 50 or 70 series or something.

Well if you want loud and want to stick with Magnaflow just get the 16" muffler instead of the 18". (I have the 18" as seen in my video clip.)
