What motor? i had a 94 w/ the 351 i put a couple different combo on the best sounding was the 1st just a single in duel out 40 series flow. it wasn't to loud but sounded nice. but after that i put a set of shorty headers with 2ft of pipe then dumped LOVED the sound and power but the cops didn't so much so i ran duel in to 2 40 flows didn't sound to bad but not like the 1st one so thats what id go with.

with a 302 or 351, I agree with the si/do 40 series Flowmaster, or for a good price you can get a dynomax bullet muffler, thatsa a loud little muffler thats only $40, flow through design.

I had a '92 Lightning with 2 40 series.. thing sounded great... You could also just go with a single muffler.. either single out or dual out.. all depends on if ya want the look of chrome tips.. If you don't care about looks.. just dump 'em...

That looks like a solid system... good price as well.. You may want to email the guy and ask which Flowmaster that is.. The 40 series are the loudest 50's less loud... Both work you just wanna be sure to get what you want.

I doubt it will affect gas mileage much either way. Your right foot will have more of an effect than a simple exhaust mod. If anything, it might get worse because you will be planting your foot harder to hear it rumble.
