Offing The Cats -

Offing The Cats -

Well , 2 weeks ago I got rid of rear cats totally - I cut them ot and replaced with a pipe . My truck sounded great and ran allot better. I didn't throw any check engine lights. - It was awesome!!

I decided tp gut my forward cats yesterday and what a mistake that was. I get all kinds of drone - mylow end is gone and its loud as hell..

I need to get some maggie high flows now I guess - just sharing the experience.

BTW - it never did throw a check engine light - yet ...

let me know when you get the mags, i purchased mine a few months ago but havent had them put in because of the cost of labor, an exhaust shop quoted me $250, plus i would have to have them cut a place for the o2 sensors they said, i have the 94306, same one as built54...

High flow cats

Jbrew, sorry to hear about your cats, oh well live and learn.I got mine on e-bay @ a place called Barnhart4X service. They are a 2.5 "high flow cat, they look like the Dynatech high flows,no heatshields around them, but they really work good.I've had them on my truck now 4 months and not one problem,no cel no leaks, nothing.they run $59.00 apiece, the e-bay # is 190072309240.When I had them installed,I kept my o2 sensors, worked great.Check them out, might save you a little $$.Got myMagnaflows yesterday, they are to pretty to install on my truck, but I'm going to anyway, let you know how it goes. Thanks for all your help info.

jbrew-

what are of michigan do you live in?

I'm in central Ohio. If you are good with exhaust work I'll pay you to put in my 2 high-flow cats.

Hard time finding someone to do mine. Then again, I don't have "the hook up" with anyone in the exhaust line of work.
