Are there different models of Magnaflow mufflers?

Are there different models of Magnaflow mufflers?
I know there are many part numbers with different sizes and configurations, but are all Magnaflows going to enhance performance and give the same sound?
Are some Magnaflows like a stock replacement that doesn't give sound difference?
Only options I see under Universal Mufflers is
- Satin Stainless
-Polished Stainless
-Stainless w/tips
-XL Turbo
-Race Series
With Flowmaster I know there's 40 series, 50 series, etc.......
I just got my magnaflow hi-flow cats.
I'm wanting a muffler from Magnaflow that has a throaty sound at idle and WOT, but nothing obnoxious at cruising speeds.
I'm thinking of an 18" (4x9) or (5x8) SI/DO
What's everyone else think?
