CAI pics

I have an 06 F150 SCREW with the 5.4. I am trying to decide on a CAI setup. Main concern is performance and second very close behind is the looks. Could ya'll that have em post a pic of the finished install and maybe a brief word or two on how you like it.

Thanks!
Kevin

I'm thinking about getting this intake too. Have you seen any improvement in fuel economy?

How does it sound? Deaper rummble or just very loud?

Any reason not to buy if towing?

How diffictult is it to install? I'm pretty good working on engines.

Thanks!

Well as far as fuel economy I did not see a large improvement perhaps 1 or 2mpg but I assume this is because of my larger tires. If I were running stock I could probably get a better mileage

I love the sound of it, it gives a deeper and throatier sound to my exhaust but it is not obnoxiously loud.

I occasionaly tow a 18 ft boat trailer and I have not seen any difference in towing.

The install took me all of 30 minutes (if that) to do. Very clear instructions with plenty of pictures. You should have no problem!

Awesome that was all what I was hoping to hear. Any idea the best (read cheapest) place to order from? I'm in Dallas so something out of state will probably be cheaper to avoid sales tax.

Between Line-x, brake controller and CAI this will be an expensive first week of ownership

Well I got mine as a package with a tuner from Troyer Performance, but just check online, there are plenty of reputable places!

After reading a bunch of other posts I'm thinking that's what I will do too. Seems like the smart way to go about getting everything right.

www.troyerperformance.com is the place to order from, where I got mine. Just keep in mind that if you go over a 3" diameter on your CAI you will need custom tuning to avoid a lean condition.

Look on Troyer's site and give them a call, they'll answer any and all questions..

Thanks for the pics guys. I really like the AF1. Only problem I have with it is the "pretty" cover that goes over the TB will be gone. I may figure out some way to dress it up a bit.

Thanks again!
