i had an original 40 put on my truck tuesday and i love the sound and there isnt much drone at all
it is si/do and dumped

 

I installed same setup on friends 05 yesterday. Not hardly as loud as I expected.

 

i think mine in plenty loud would have gotten a 4x9 magnaflow but the exhaust shop i go to dosent sell one that small

 

I got a 3" super 40. The loudest flowmaster you can get and it's still not ridiculously loud. My roommates and my neighbors can definitely tell when it starts and drives away. But it's not deafening. The fun part is the resonation at low RPM's that sets off car alarms from across a couple rows in the parking lot
