which muffler?

Hey, I'm new here and I drive a 2003 F-150 STX midnight blue... I am in a bind on choosing a muffler and whether I ahould run the pipes out the side in front of the right front tire or straight out the back.

What does the back end look? I think some chrome out the side may complement your wheels. Chrome outthe back may be the only chrome back there and could look off a little IMO.

A Lightning look may be nice with your truck in the sig.

I don't have a good pic of mine on the truck but this has a sound clip as well.

I do have a 4.6l but I'm sure there is an application for the 4.2l. It's made by Borla for Ford Racing, if your interested I'll give you the contact info where I bought mine (for $274 shipped).

I did put that I have a 4.6l so I'm sure mine would sound a little deeper than the 4.2l but it still should fit.

Here is a link http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=7727 .

From how it was explained to me is that the exhaust pulses bounce around inside of the glasspack due to design restricting flow but giving you sound as it's close to a staight pipe. Magnaflow is a straight through design but is nothing close to a glasspack. All I know is I will never ever run a glasspack on any of my vehicles again (as I have in the past) due to SOTP and dynos I have seen. Your better off running a straight pipe and tuning the vehicle for it IMO.

i want a cheap way out..$300... and a quality sound. glasspacks sound good, but magnaflow isnt a chambered muffler which gives you a ricey sound, but are made for a bigger engine than mine
