I have a magnaflow 16614 dual exhaust on my truck and something happened and the exhaust is now really loud in my cab? I tried tightening my clamps and that didnt work so i got the joints welded and that still didnt work? I have only had the exhaust since January but i dont know what it could be? Could the muffler already be bad?

This is not just wearing in noise, my muffler is too loud to be a magnaflow!

 

I have the exact same setup that you have and mine is not that loud, you very well may have a bad muffler.

 

Best thing to do is take it into a muffler shop and have them look at it. Ive never heard of this problem before. But check with the muffler shop and see what they suggest.

 

Have you compared it to someone elses?

Mine is loud enough for me but too loud for my wife. My co-workers have complemented me on the exhaust tone and I haven't told anyone, they hear it.
