Both banks below threshold. I can get the cats for both sides all for alittle over $600 but the truck has 230,000 on it and money is tight right now. Will it pass emmisions if I reset the computer before they plug into the obdII port ?
What will happen if I just ignore it ? Thanks

What will happen if you clear the code and go to have it tested the emissions scan will read monitors not ready and they will tell you to go drive it 50 to 100 miles and come back. In that time the codes will return and you will fail the test. The only way to get rid of the codes is to make the proper repair.

Install MIL-eliminators (about 3 bucks from Radio Shack for parts if you can solder) and GCAP will never know the difference .
Additionally, you can get a pass with one monitor incomplete. If you know what you're doing, you can get it through e-test that way.

was looking for a new cat for my 02 SCrew and this may helpout...not too expensive...the magnaflow at the bottom is for a 5.4...and only runs about $75.00. Anyone know if that will fit on the 4.6? I dont see a problem as long as the in/out pipes are the same size...
