wrong headers??

i ordered a set of pacesetter longtube headers and after taking everything off. i tried to put them on and they wouldnt fit. the passenger side was hitting the starter. i dont know if i got the wrong headers. i have a 2001 4.6. could they have been for a 5.4.

according to pacsetters website you need part # 70-2225 for your truck, the 5.4 headers?? part # 70-2227 -non supercharged 5.4, unless you got the ones for the lightning / harley trucks p/n # 70-2226

is the header actually rubbing the starter or is it just a tight fit when you get the header bolted in place? or won't the header bolt into place? did the drivers side bolt on without issues????

did you order the headers for your specific truck and engine or just "headers for an F-150"?
did you check the part number before you opened the box?
**I suggest checking the order sheet and the part number on the box before you call the place you ordered the headers from**

good luck, let us know

maybe they made a mistake, my dealings with summmit have been pretty good so i'm sure if you call them and explain they can swap you for the correct headers or help you get the correct ones. at least it's figured out that you indeed have the wrong headers for your application
