Want to Replace Muffler

Hey all,

Have the 3 1/2in Cat-Back System from Gibson on my 2001 Ford F-150 XLT with the V-8. The exhaust was installed when it was my dads and I want to replace the muffler with something a lot louder.

What would I be looking at to cut the old muffler off and clamp the new one on? I'm thinking of going with the Flowmaster Super 40, but what are my other options, I want the loudest muffler available but still street legal. So is this something I can do myself or do I need and plasma cutter and welder?

Thanks

i heared that the race bullet is quiet in the cab because of lack of backpressure so it doesnt resonate. is this true?
