if you add tailpipes to your mufflers, it will be quieter than just having short turndowns right after the mufflers

the tone will change too, it will have a bit more of that "Flowmaster" sound

I had an older Bronco and originally I just had a turndown, unitl I found a shop to bent me a 3" tailpipe. the pipe quieted it down but changed the tone a bit.

your truck is louder without the tips, but will sound a little smoother & more crisp with dual tips, I think it will look great with chrome side exit tips. I say the tip piping from the muffler keep it 2.5" ( or w/e the outlet diamter of your muffler is ) and end it with 4" chrome tips

btw TexfordD the pic you posted cannot be found

you wont get any louder than a turndown. I ran a super40 on another screw and it sounded great. I guess im gonna weld the flow on , and clamp the turndown pipe on, so if i dont like it i will unclamp it and weld duals out the back with 24"X4" echo tips. Did you remove cat converter or not?

I have never had that set up so i can't say for sure. What you are doing is the same as a cat back and they sound good.It will prob be a little quiter after that.I'd go with whatever the outlet size of your mufflers are into 4in tips
