Lol, this is getting out of hand.

As a first time modder/customizer on my vehicle I really cold care less who is better than the other. I am sure that the Volant will do what I want it to do, which is give me cold air. I'm only upgrading the performance for gas efficiency. I don't care if I drive down the street chopping it up and out gunning everyone. I do care about getting the most milage out of my tank when spending $90 for a fill up.

On the other hand. I like going w/ the underdogs. So if Volant is an underdog, then thats cool w/ me.

I'm a DJ and used to hangout at a forums where people would swear their CD Turntables are better than another CD Turntable produced by a different company.

I guess this is just the same here. I'm not here to battle, race or care who's product is better. As long as there is a warranty, Im a happy camper.

Which is ok by me as I'm going to order an Xcal ll from them. I know they are a company with a good reputation and they were VERY informative as far as intakes were concerned. But they really didn't sway me either way. As far as calling me completely uninformed and clueless, YOU are the one who is clueless, I mean you have no idea who I am or how much information I have, and anyone who would make a judgement like that on somebody armed with absolutely no information about that person, well I guess that's how you make your buying decisions, with absolutely no information. I don't think you're someone I would take advise from. Oh yeah, I read your profile MGDfan, and I see what helps you make decisions. Could it be the MGD. Look, there's an old saying that goes like this, IT'S BETTER TO SIT THERE, BE QUIT, AND LET EVERYONE THINK YOUR STUPID, THAN IT IS TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND REMOVE ALL DOUBT!!! I,m not trying to disrespect you or your opinions, but all BMlocal wanted was a little infomation and you started your thread on this subject without being as informative as you were belittling. People would take your advise more to heart if you presented it in a different light(and not MGD lite) hahaha.Just kidding. Anyway you either have abeef with Volant or your just bowing to the AF1 gods. I do like your posts however, they get people thinking and talking, keep it up. sorry this one was so long. Have a nice day.

Your'e absolutely right - you should have kept your mouth shut, lol. You also need to work on your presentation a bit. Looks like you also get riled easy, there, youngster.

Did you see this? - I was just trying to help, by referring to previously posted info: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...1&postcount=25

I think it comes down to seeing actual numbers. I do feel the AF1 is "the intake" for the F150 but if it is so great then why not some dyno sheets to help convince people. I would like to see a good pull with the AF1 or Volant then switch to the opposite to see the difference but before calling it good put the original intake back on to see if any changes were made to the original numbers. I know that sometimes switching parts (w/out tuning) can create power just by altering the A/F ratio usually before the computer can relearn the change.

Been there, done that , seen that, several others have also. Several have shown up at the Troyer Dyno Days sporting shiny new Volants, just to end up replacing them on the spot once they witnessed the difference on their own trucks...I am not at liberty to give precise numbers, but the AF1 clearly out performs the Volant and ANY others I have seen on the Dyno, and not just at top end, but rather all through the power band.
Maybe one or two of those that made the changes will chip in here and tell you what the real facts are.....However, I do feel that everyone has a right to purchase which ever, or what ever they want for THEIR vehicle...

Like I stated I do believe that the AF1 is "the intake" for F150's but how come nobody ever has any dyno sheets to post? When I dyno my 5.0 Mustang I put up the mods I have and sheets for everybody to see on Mustang Forums as I want my fellow Stangers to see what works and what doesn't. I just don't understand what the big secret is. I would love to go to a dyno day@Troyers but living in New England it would be a little road trip. I have heard many many happy people with the AF1 but I more of a seeing is believing.

Ford Racing AC delete (removed AC), Mac underdrive pullies, 140 Power Master Alt, Jacobs ignition, Mac 70mm TB/EGR, K&N filter, Flex-a-lite electric fan, and 2 1/4" Dyno-Max cat back.

Alright happy AF1 owners...let's see some sheets!!!!!!!!

Received my shipment at lunchtime and proceeded to install when I got home.

Took it on the five to test it out. It sounds good. For those that are interested I can give little more info from a lvl 1 modder's perspective.
