Best performance exhaust duals

I am looking for a nice deep sound exhaust with the most hp gain. I have 40 series now on another truck but am not sure if I want it for my 06 supercrew. But just looking for some personal experience input. I was thinking gibson, flowmaster, magnaflow but dont know much about them. Like I said I just want a deep sound and the most hp gain.

An exhaust alone will never give you any power gains. Exhaust is basically only for sound; you would have to add an intake and programmer to see any HP gains. Just go with what you think sounds best

I have an intake and an edge programmer already. I was just asking if anyone knows which sounds deep and would give the best hp.

Flowmaster or Magnaflow are the 2 top systems either one of those 2 will be your best bet.

I think you'd be happy with the Roush off-road. It's deeper than Magnaflow, I've had both.

interesting- first mod i did was true duals-my van weighs 8k lbs and i tow 6k on weekends-if for 1 minute i didn't gain any tq or even had a hint of tq or hp loss -my stock 3" exhaust would be back on in a heartbeat- night and day difference with duals in my application-this even before i had my tuner and i do not have a intake as of yet- just curious why you made this comment? obviously you have installed a true dual sytem done right?

A friend's father used to own a Ford Performance shop and I had installed numerous true dual exhaust setups on anything from Lightnings to Mustangs. IMO I just never really saw that drastic of an increase in HP just from exhausts ALONE. Now add a tuner and intake and yes there is a difference. Exhaust alone, I would say it would be minimal at best. Just my .02 though.

Info on programmers for older models

Are these programmers you guys are talking about just for newer model truck with the computer systems. Or can they be used on my 79 f150 460.

I dont think they make any programmers for your type of truck, mostly newer vehicles.
