0-60 time worse with Magnaflow 16612

Just installed a Magnaflow 16612 on my 06 F150. Ran a few 0-60 tests and noticed my times increased from 8.22 sec to 9.5 and 10.2 on average. Is this normal? I like the improved sound, but not sure I'm going to like losing acceleration if this holds up.

Give your truck computer a few days to adjust then try it again.

I have the Edge...Is there anything I need to tweak considering I have a new exhaust?

Nope. Keep in mind a cat back doesnt add hp it just frees it up. With an exhaust you will rev fast and get your motor into the power band faster. Give it a few days for the computer to get use to the exhaust. Did you disconnect the battery after installing the cat back. You should also have a cai to optimize the Edge and exhaust.

No, didn't know I needed to disconnect the battery. I'll give it a try. I'm assuming that's needed in order to reset the computer?

As for a CAI, I was considering the AEM Brute Force, but have read a lot of great things about the AF1. Thoughts?

It's not the battery disconnect. That will do nothing but clear out adaptive strategy and require the proces to start all over.

It's your timing measurements. Uncontrolled, on different days, different conditions, using a device that cannot account for wheelspin/slipage = meaningless results.

Most cai are better then stock so that would be up to you. I personally dont have one yet. I may be getting the Outlaw cai for 2 reason. 1 it has the dry filter and 2 because I will be getting it for $150. I personally dont think a cai is worth more then that.
